Mulching with the 20 inch high-lift blade

Yesterday I cut the grass in mulch mode for the first time using the 20 inch high lift blade on the steel deck mower. I cut on height #5, which on the steel deck mower is 3 and 3/8 inches. I'm thrilled with the results. There were absolutely no visible grass clippings sitting on the grass afterwards. Several weeks back I also cut the grass at the same height with the standard blade on the steel deck mower, and was very pleased with the results, so I can't say yet whether or not the high-lift blade is mulching better than the standard blade on the steel deck mower. But in any case, it's mulching to my satisfaction.
After using the steel deck mower for several weeks (both with the standard blade and with the high-lift blade), I would say that it is mulching better than the 21 inch self-propelled plastic deck mower, which used to leave clumpy trails of grass clippings on the left-hand side of the mower. But the real test will be next spring when the grass is extra thick.
I'm just loving the high-lift blade on the steel deck mower. I've never looked forward to mowing so much. It definitely feels more like play-time than work.

Counting down the days for my blade to arrive from MM.  How long did it take yours to arrive, John?

Hi Craig! It took 12 days from the date of order to the date of arrival, and they had to ship from the UK to New Jersey for me to get it. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it after you've had the chance to use it on your steel deck mower.
