Mower won't cut out of the box

It is self propelled and moves fine battery fully charged but no mater what I do it won't cut the blade motor won't start.

are you 100% positive the telescoping handle is all the way out?

This must be the case.

Secure handle clips, push green button, then pull the bail handle. Motor should turn on.

Had the same problem last week as I posted, ended up having to swap out. Do however, make sure you go through all the troubleshooting such as making sure the handle is fully extended with clips secure, push green button first before pulling handle. If it's like mine, it still may not start, but since swapping out for another one, I have not had any problems.
I'm having the same problem. What is the bail handle?

the handle that collapses for storage. It needs to be pulled all the way out for use.
Did that. Wore safety goggles. Removed battery,wore gloves and checked blade tight with 14mm wrench. Said a prayer. Raised blade height. Slowed speed. Nothing doing...

Kristine, see the "exploded" view of the bail handle below.  This was from the 21" SP mower's manual, as I am not certain which model the original post was for ... :-)
