Mower turning off for no apparent reason

I have an Ego 21” self propelled mower that is finishing up its 3rd year. This past month the yellow light starts blinking and it turns off. I wait until the light quits blinking and mower will start backs up. What is causing this? It is a little annoying but my main concern is whether bigger problems are on the horizon.

Official Response
Normally when the orange (some see yellow) light on the mower blinks that means it's overheated. That could be caused by trying to mow too high or dense of grass and the mower bogs down too much and overheats. The mower will shut down for a little bit and then it resets, sort of like what you are seeing.
If you aren't trying to make it work too hard, your mower has a 5 year warranty so give EGO CS a call and they will take care of you.

I agree with Oregon Mike. Also, if you are cutting grass with the mower level set on level 1 or 2 trying moving it to a higher number. Cut the grass, wait a day and cut it again on a lower setting. If you have a lot of clippings you make want to remove them before cutting.

Mower is on setting 3 and I have been on a 4 day cut schedule.  It does not seem to be straining.

Check under the deck to make sure it's not choked with grass, or something is wrapped around the blade.

Don: I have found that the battery is sometimes slightly dislodged. I pop the battery up and place it back down and the light goes back to green.
