I have a 6 month old 52CM 56V Ego Mower with the 7.5AH Battery. It has been great up until recently when it has started to stop during mowing. When I go to put the battery back on the charger it comes up as 100% charged and when I fit it back in the mower it starts again only to stop again some minutes later, Anybody got any idea what the problem could be? Thanks

Barry, is the light on the mower or battery lighting up anything but solid green at any time?

Hi

The light on the mower has stopped lighting up.

When I put the battery on the charger it is usually showing solid green all charged.

Thanks

Don’t have a mower but, it happened to me with my power head and I found out I had not properly seated the battery.

Hi Rick

Thanks for the reply.

I am pretty sure the battery has been seated properly.

Cheers

I am considering this particular EGO 56 volt mower and the sudden loss of powertrain concerns me.  Sounds like it is fairly new. Have you had any success on  contacting EGO for warranty?  I think I read somewhere someone was having a problem trying to claim warranty?  Anyone? Comments, pro or con?

Warranties are great and they honor them. A call to customer service is all it takes to get things diagnosed and replaced if needed.

Hi Roger

Before going through the warranty route I thought it best to post on here to see if it was a simple fix.

Apart from this problem I am very impressed and happy with the mower and its accessories

Cheers

Barry

If the battery is seated the headlights should come on. If the green light on the battery does not light up when engaging the mower or self-propel than you have a limit switch problem. The is one for the handles when the handles are in the correct position. One for the extended handles and one under the green start button.
