My mower is finally en route back to Texas after a long trip to Atlanta, a long wait time to be repaired and now 10-15 more business days until it gets back to Texas.  When they said 6-8 weeks they weren't lying.  I really like the EGO products but this is a really, really long repair time.  Turns out the motor was shorting out which caused a problem in the control board. Sounds like an expensive repair but it was all covered under warranty.  I hate to think I'd need a spare mower just to get by but that may be the case.

Need to take advantage of the HD "loaner" (aka BORG 90 day return) program.
6-8 weeks is unacceptable.

I never heard anything about a "loaner" program.  I am in the exact same fix.  It's been 3 weeks already for me.  I am in Texas too, and it's been steadily raining!  The grass is over 2' tall in places!  With surgery coming up in 3 weeks & me unable to mow after that, I am REALLY in trouble now!

Buy a second unit from HD and then return it when your repaired one comes back.90 days or 1 year on HD CC

David, thanks for documenting the timeline to repair, and the detailed problem report.
