Mower bag not fitting correctly

Has anyone found the mower  bag frame to narrow to fit the mounting hole in the mower.  It seems I have to pull one side of the frame to insert the frame into the holes stressing the plastic mower frame.  The bag constantly falls off while mowing.

George, which model (20" or 21") do you have?  I just look at the frame on my 20", it's 1/4-5/16" steel rod, so it could have been damaged in shipping.  Can you post a picture of the frame next to, but not clipped into the mower?  If you just bought this, you might want to take it back to HD for an exchange.  My 20" mower one has never fallen out in the past year (mowing year round).

I found out the bag hooks on to the hinge of the rear door not the two holes in the mower frame.  Thanks for your prompt reply.

great!  and here's a tip; empty the bag sooner than later.  when i find the mower is dropping clippings all over, it's probably because the bag is too full.  also when I'm filling the bag quickly, sometimes I will unlatch bag, set it on the ground, and then push the grass towards the back of the bag, then latch it back.  while not necessary, the less grass at the front of the bag, the easier it is able to fill the bag.
