Mowed some really tall Fescue

Last week, my friend had to unexpectedly travel across the country for a death in his family while leaving his wife (recovering from surgery) and child home. While over with my wife to help her out, I noticed their Fescue lawn is grossly overgrown -- to the matter of 9-12" in many areas. This is a treated lawn, so it was thick. I offered to mow it for her and she took me up on it. Since their lawn mower hasn't yet been de-winterized, I instead went back to my place and picked up my eGo 21" SP with mulching insert installed.

I put it on height six and mowed through the grass with little issue or clumping. I encountered a little more clumping on one side of the house that was a little damp still, but really not bad at all especially considering how tall it was. I made a second pass at height 4, which again went very well and it cleaned up what little clumping I had encountered.

I put the battery on the charger at home and it was reading about 50% power which I was very impressed with. The lot is only 7,841 sqft per Zillow, but given two passes on that tall grass -- color me impressed.

I'm so far very happy with this mower that I purchased about a month ago.

Now, if only I was as impressed with my 20V B+D trimmer that I used to clean up some of the edges.

Thanks for sharing, Brad!

I'm pretty sure we can come up with a cure to those B&D Blues you're experiencing. :-)
