I just bought an ego mower, everything worked as stated in the instruction book, but started to mow and the back wheels all of a sudden lower to the lowest setting and started cutting the grass way too short. What occurred is that kotter pin must have fallen out or simply wasn't installed and therefore the back wheel adjustment arm fell off, lowering the back deck to almost the ground. Once I figured out it was missing this pin or cap to hold the arm on, jury rigged a pin to hold the arm on. Needless to say I wasn't very happy initially. You may want to pass this onto your QA people to check prior to shipping the mowers. Hopefully it was just a defective assembly issue with my mower. after I fixed it, it worked great.
