Where Can I Find the Manufacturer Date & Serial Number?

I'm seriously considering replacing several of outdoor items with Ego Products.

I've read through many posts here and many review posts online including at HD, the exclusive retailer for EGO at this time.

How can I know the manufacturer date of the 20" Lawn Mower?

How can I tell from the box?

My understanding is the handle clips were redesigned late last year and I don't want to have to buy a new product June 2015 and deal with replacing the clips myself (though free).

I see a post or two from others that state they have a manufacture date of December 2014+ and don't have the issue with the handle / mover not running while pushing issue.

Please advise

The serial plate on my mower indicates it was built in December 2014. I'm not sure if you can tell the date of manufacture from the box itself.

Can the serial number itself (I assume the s/n is on the box) indicate >December 2014?

If I have to open boxes at HD to get to the s/n plate and DoMfr, I will do so.

The first four digits of my mower's serial number are 1412 which I would assume are the year and month of manufacture.

Thank you Tim..

I went to one of my local HD stores early this morning, they had 3-4 of the 20" model boxes around.. I looked at a couple boxes (around all sides) but it appears Ego does not place the serial number on the outside of the box.

I guess I have to pick one and open it up to see the date.

While I was there, I noticed a few things and also after speaking to one of the lawn and garden employees... I have a few concerns about Ego availability in the future at HD.. I'll post in a new thread soon but I want to call another HD location..

When I bought my mower I didn't know that the newer mowers had some minor modifications. My Home Depot had 6 or 7 mowers and I just picked one of the boxes on top.
