Managing Your Purchase Decision

I bought the LM2101 mower, the 480cfm blower and 15" trimmer. The mower comes with a 5AH battery and charger. I bought the other two without batteries then also purchased a spare 5AH battery. Using this combination, the trimmer and blower time are about 45-50 minutes. I leave one battery in the charger, mow then use the freshly charged battery for trimming and blowing. I still have above 15% charge after the last two steps. The trimmer and blower are a bit heavier, but I wanted to get the best runtime while having a second battery for the mower.

Official Response

Hi Craig,

I believe that's how most of us have to manage our batteries.  I burn through about 75% of a 4AH battery with the blower and weed eater before starting to cut my grass.  This is about how my battery management goes:

  • Start with 2 charged 4AH Batteries

  • Weed Whacker:  25% of a 4AH battery used.

  • Blow leaves and debris onto lawn from beds for cutting 50% of a 4AH Battery used.

  • 4AH battery now has about 25% left so I throw it in the charger.

  • Grab other 4AH battery and cut lawn.  Get about 75% done and 4AH battery depleted.

  • Pull freshly charged 4AH battery from charger and finish lawn.

So it does take about 8AH's to do my lawn  :)
