Ego's products are manufactured in China.

Ego is a brand owned by Chervon, one of the top ten global manufacturers of power tools:

EGO is a global brand with offices throughout the world. EGO’s U.S. operations include locations in Michigan and Illinois, which are dedicated to research and development, testing, customer support and marketing of EGO products. The manufacturing of EGO products is currently done in China.

Jennifer's official response is above, but Ego is owned by a Chinese manufacturer called Chervon, which now owns SKIL and manufactures tools for a lot of different brands, including Kobalt and Craftsman. Chervon launched its own Ego brand four or five years ago.
