Loose handle on EGO snow blower

I finally bought my EGO last week, shelling out nearly $1100 (with tax) to HD. I was able to try it out Sunday night after 8-10 cm of snow fell and a similar amount on Monday morning. Overall, I was impressed with its power. But I am a bit concerned about the amount of 'play' in the handle. I tightened the green knobs as much as I could, but the handle was still loose--is it supposed to be? At one point, when pushing through the snow (maybe harder than I should have been), the handle collapsed forward, so I had to re-start and tighten the knobs yet again. Makes me wonder if the machine is defective or if I'm doing something wrong?

Read the manual.
Losen the clamp cam locks. Tighten the inside a little, clamp, test if it's bettet. The cam locks are what apply the tension, not the inside knobs.
