In researching leaf blowers, i came across the EGO backpack blower in Home Depot. Read the box info and decided it would be good to buy an extra battery so went searching for that in the accessories area . Had noted blower comes with 56V 5.9 AH battery but only extra battery HD has is 2.0AH and that pkg noted charge times on Rapid vs. standard charger. Then asked clerk which charger comes with blower. Not listed on box so she looked up parts from display blower and it is a standard charger. Discovered in charger manual that it takes 1 hour and 40 min. to charge 5.0 AH on standard charger. Had I not dug deeper for info I would have been frustrated re: charge time. Also, don't know why HD doesn't have available the 5.0 AH battery for sale alone or the Rapid charger. Yes, I can get from Amazon but feel the lack of information for the HD pkging as well as parts availability is a negative. Have read the reviews and am impressed with performance opinions as well as the lack of gas fumes, etc. Will I buy one?????????More than likely but feel communication in pkging needs to be clearer. Thoughts any one from community or eGO?

Some Ego accessories are not stocked in stores, they must be ordered from the website either for home delivery or in-store pick up. The HD sales associate should have known this.

I'm not familiar with the packaging on that particular product, but if it does not list the contents then it should.

As far as specifications like charge time etc., I don't think it's reasonable to expect everything to be listed on the box. Some companies do list some specs, but many misrepresent the truth and claim charge times that are much shorter than reality (like Echo).

Here's the website link to the 5Ah battery:
