Some EGO special buys at Home Depot in the Labor Day ad. They include battery and charger.

That snowblower is tempting. With our HD matching Menards 11% off this week that's about $580.

Isn't it normally $599 for that snowblower though?  Not sure how increasing the price makes it a special buy.

Home Depot's pricing strategy with Ego is so frustrating. I looked up the snow blower price last month for a friend of mine and it was $599. Now with this sale, the web page preview shows $599, but when it actually loads it is indeed $649 as a "special buy."

This is in Iowa.

Ken, that's so weird. Definitely $599 here in So Oregon. HD's pricing does make you scratch your head for sure.

I'm in Michigan. It shows $649 on both the "sale" page and individual product page.

Bryan, I wonder if you showed them the pic from my ad if they'd honor the lower price. Or, maybe, it's just a mistake in their system and it should be $599.

Thanks, but I'm not interested in the 2 5Ah one, I just don't like that they're promoting a sale when the price actually went up or stayed the same depending on the area.  I was hoping that the 2 7.5Ah model would see some discounts, or at least the newer batteries before I need it in a few months.

I wonder if the increase in price of the snow blower ($50 more than last year) has to do with the U.S. tariffs on China? I've been wondering what impact the trade war would have on the price of EGO products (have no desire to talk politics here...just the effect of tariff pricing over pricing of Chinese goods like EGO).

If it's not the tariffs for the pricing goods, could the EGO snow blower now include the new fuel gauge EGO batteries?

Maybe? But that doesn't explain why it's $50 less here in Oregon than it is in Michigan. It's more likely just a glitch in HD's pricing.

I'd actually pay $100 more if it could prevent snow from falling on the driveway in the first place. :-)
