King of the Hill, is it time for a bigger, more powerful blower?

Greenworks just came out with a new blower, a 580 CFM gen 2 handheld unit.  I do not like its design, as it is a match to the 60V unit, but is more powerful, and I never liked the ergonomics of the 60V Greenworks.  I love the ergonomics of the gen 1 80V Greenworks and I wish EGO would make a similar handheld unit with the handle being straight and horizontal and the battery being located in a place that would allow it to act as a counterweight to the thrust.

This did get me thinking: when is someone going to pass the 700 CFM mark with a battery powered unit.  Do you have plans for a more powerful backpack blower (maybe with cruise control? ;) and if so can we hear about them?

Ego isn't going to tell you about products it has in development.

I have the 530 CFM blower.  It exerts a lot of backward force.  If a blower had much more force than that, who would be able to use just their arm to hold onto it?  Too much force and you are going to need a more substantial unit design, such as a backpack blower, which I despise.  I had one.  too annoying to strap it on (i use my blower daily) and too hard to blow into areas that require it be on the opposite side of the user than its configuration permits.   No thanks.  been there. done that.  A handheld blower is so much easier to quickly grab, reverse arms that hold it to get into certain spots.

Agreed!  I bought the EGO 600 CFM backpack blower first before my 575 CFM.  Fast forward to today, my 600 CFM is collecting dust while the 575 CFM is my "work horse" blower for everything.

I'd really like to see EGO offer an upgrade to the backpack blower too, either with a way to lock down the turbo button so you don't have to hold it down the whole time you want to use it, or simply eliminating the turbo button and making the turbo be the "high" setting.
I'd also really like them to offer a backpack blower geared to people who want to use it to move lots and lots of leaves for an extended amount of time. Perhaps they could offer a kit with 2 or even three 7.5 Ah batteries.
