wondering if this is normal. both batteries were recently charged, maybe they sat for a week off the charger - 30 minutes total run time and both batteries were dead.  Using with the snow blower and it was on constantly - I did use the LED lights for about 10 minutes or so with it.

Pushing that snowblower through a 2 foot deep snowfall will surely drain the batteries quickly! Under lighter snow conditions I would expect it to last longer.

Agree -  and I do not think you will notice any effect on the batteries from using the lights.  When using it in extreme conditions - snow taller than the mouth of the blower - you will certainly get diminished run times.
