Is this comparable with other detachable systems?

I have had several gas powered interchangeable heads and now have a Ryobe battery head and although they were all different brands, they all confirmed to the same standard for attachments. I don't know the name of the standard but all my attachments and heads have been interchangeable.

This said, does the Ego use this same standard or would I need to get ride of my string trimmer, blower, edger, hedge trimmer, and snow blower attachments? If the later, there's no way I'm ever switching.

Thanks in advance for your help.

EGO, sad to say, isn't "universal" on attachments.

Sorry to say the splines are not the same.

If you want EGO multi equipment you must buy their product. They are pretty good except the hedge trimmer is a bit long imho. I don’t believe the extension tube is needed. ( except in demanding situations where a very long reach is needed)

Rick, almost all posts on the hedge trimmer attachment said it was heavy. I have the extension pole for the pole saw attachment, but hesitant on the hedge trimmer because I already have a telescoping Echo hedge trimmer, but is gas and super heavy.

Thanks everyone.  If they were first to market, they this would have been fine. But enough people have invested in attachments that it would be way too expensive to start over.  I like my Ryobe enough but the 40v batter doesn't compare to what comes with the mower.  Thought it would be worth considering having a stronger engine.

I was in a similar situation, having bought Milwaukee M18 and seeing that I could get a trimmer, edger and blower from them but not a mower.

So now, I'm on two battery systems wishing Ego would start making drills and saws so I could get back to one again.
