If the blade dips into water while the saw is operating will this harm the saw

While I am cutting logs in the snow, near the edge of a lake, or in a river, the blade may dip into water and spin some through the drive mechanism. Will this damage the saw?

Yeah, I don’t think a small splash of water will hurt anything. You’ll want to make sure you’ve got oil in the reservoir and it might be a good idea to grease the bar sprocket a little more often than normal.
