If I sharpen the blade, will this cancel my 90 day trial

2 week old mower, there are many posts about how dull mower blades are (out of the gate), and how much performance can be gained by a regular sharpening. 
My blade is not bad- never hit anything but grass blades;  not great either and could probably use a sharpening after a few more mows. Especially since work colleagues, neighbors want to try it .....and In want it tip top shape to impress.
Since the horror stories about repair turn around times have put the fear into me; I am hesitant to do anything that may deny me the ability to return for "refund " should a "catastrophic" failure (requiring 4-6 weeks for repair) come about.
Don't get me wrong, Thus far I am very impressed/happy with the mower (not so the price here in Canada...but that's what you get with little/no competition in this sector ).
Should I go ahead and sharpen? 
I figure, should the situation arise, and If I get any lip from the store that I "altered" the mower by sharpening....I could always just buy and install a new blade for them?
Whats the "official" stand on sharpening blades?

You can absolutely sharpen the blade without fear of voiding your warranty. :-)
