I purchased the EGO Power+ 14-inch 56-Volt chainsaw. The oil was\is not spraying on chain. Contacted EGO (took several attempts). I took the chainsaw to Home Depot as directed. They wanted $20 just to look at it. If a repair was required I would have to pay them and then negotiate with EGO for a reimbursement. I have had the chainsaw for just over a month and used (maybe) 8 minutes (long enough to know oil was not working). How do I get a refund or a replacement?

Jeffrey, if you purchased it from the HD you can just return it and buy a new one, you have 3 months to do so. Just be sure to tell them it's not working when you bring it back.

I like the chainsaw (for the few moments we were able to use).  We have other EGO products and were considering buying an EGO lawn mower next spring.  I did not mind driving 30 miles to Home Depot (as we were directed by EGO).  However, when Home Depot expected me to pay and then attempt to get reimbursement from EGO; I was not happy.  The oil does not spray on the chain.  From Google and Amazon, I have learned this is not uncommon.  All I want is the chainsaw I paid for.

Blue is on target.  No reason I would ever bring a 1 month old item in for repair (unless I damaged it).  Return for full refund and buy a new one!

I purchased from Amazon.  Trying to get an exchange is proving difficult.  I can not imagine what would happen if I asked for my money back.  Also, Home Depot is not easy to work with.  They are the "authorized" repair place.  They wanted cash up front from me before they would look at it.  AND they said I might have to pay for repair and then negotiate with EGO for reimbursement.

I am on my second one, same issue. Pretty hard to cut wood when there is so much friction.
