I just inserted my battery into the charger and the red light is flashing, "defective " Changed chargers and same thing. Do I return my blower, charger and battery to Home Depot or just the battery?

If it is within 90 days, just box all of it up and go get it exchanged.  It's much easier for Home Depot that way.  Otherwise contact EGO Customer Service.

I agree with SCDC. You'll be in and out of the store in five minutes with a replacement.

Hi Aaron, we would be happy to troubleshoot a little with you over the phone.  Please give us a call at 1-855-346-5656.  We're here today until 8:00PM EST.  In general, Home Depot will only take a full return (not just a battery or just a charger).  Sometimes the chargers can give you a false positive.  Did you try to insert the battery more than once on the charger?  You can also try to unplug the charger and wait until the lights go out.  Then reconnect it and try again. You mentioned that you changed chargers.  Do you have more than one EGO charger and battery?  Is the battery giving you the same reading on all chargers?  Does your other battery read properly on both chargers? Is the battery flashing red when it's in your hand, off the charger?

I just returned from the Home Depot and did an exchange. Because I own 3 items, blower, hedge trimmer and weed trimmer, all with batteries and chargers, I was able to swap chargers and determine it was the battery.
