The first thing that comes to mind is the string in the trimmer head. Make sure there are still two strings sticking out, one may have broken off. If this happened it could cause a vibration since it is no longer balanced side to side.

You will need to open the spool and feed the string back out on both sides, and trim the lines so they are both the correct length.

If both strings are still there, try spinning the spool by hand and see if it is centered. If it is and the vibration is still there, you may need to rewind the string inside.

Let us know what you find!

I had that same experience and I found that the spool was not seated properly in the spool retainer>  When you look at the spool it has two depress-able tabs which should fully seat in openings on the spool retainer.  If that isn't the case it likely is something else which is causing the head to be out of balance.

i've had a similar problem, but the vibration wasn't that bad. I think it has to do with the length of the string. When my line gets too short it vibrates a little, but once i extend it, the vibration stops immediately.
