The string trimmer weighs 6.5 lbs. without the battery.  The 2.0Ah battery weighs about 2.7 lbs.  So, with the battery attached, the whole string trimmer would weigh 9.2 lbs.

Milwaukee charges a LOT for their OPE! I'd consider looking very seriously at the value of an Ego trimmer kit instead, especially if you already have other Ego tools.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Milwaukee's tools, I have a ton of the M12 stuff. But I gotta call a spade a spade... dollar for dollar Ego's tools will knock Milwaukee's out of the park; their string trimmer kit is $300!

Yes I looked at cost which also helped me decide. It is $299 for JUST the trimmer. So I got to thinking how can Ego offer ALL THIS (3) components for $300? I have a Milwaukee M12 drill and I liked speaking with the Milwaukee rep about that. Milwaukee's string trimmer is a solid straight aluminum shaft. I'm yet to use it so I'm sure there'll be things I like and things I don't.
