How long will the MST1501 last with a 2.5Ah battery?

I already have a 2.5Ah battery and rapid charger. Does anyone know how long the MST1501 will last with that battery? I would like to buy that along with the edger attachment and would like to get around spending $400 if possible. Thanks in advance.

It's definitely less than the ST1500.  I can usually get 45 minutes from the ST1500 with a 2.5AH battery, but I only get around 30 minutes with the PH1400 head.  That's being conservative with the throttle to try and maximize battery life.

The trade-off for additional tool heads is a decrease in efficiency and battery life.

FYI - Just to make sure you are looking at the right products and prices
MST1501 comes with a 5.0 battery
The power head tool only would be the PH1400.

Szwoop, so I would need to buy the PH1400 head and then the two attachments to have a trimmer and edger?

Correct
But at $400 the MHC1502 which includes - Power head, trimmer, edger, 5.0 battery and charger is probably the best deal if you are looking for all 3 components.

Or is there a trimmer that comes with the power head? Thanks in advance.

All of the combination kits currently come with a battery.
MHC1502 and MST1501.
I do not think there are any other kits that include the power head.

The MHC1502 is only $50 more than the 3 components alone.  $50 is a small price for a 5.0 battery and charger.

Your current options are:
1) buy the entire kit (MST1501 or MHC1502)
2) buy the PH1400 head and the STA1500 trimmer head

But as stated above, the complete kit with battery/charger is a much better deal.
