There are a lot of variables that affect longevity so it's difficult to say, but the batteries are warrantied for three years.

Hi Richard, as Ken mentioned, battery life is usually measured in terms of recharge cycles. It is nearly impossible to predict the number of cycles your battery will produce because of varying environmental conditions. We do have a 3 (three) year warranty on all batteries and chargers, so you can feel confident knowing your battery will be protected in the unlikely event that it doesn’t function properly in those first three years of ownership.

As an example, I typically use my 4 Ah battery only with my lawn mower, so it gets charged and discharged once a week. But I use my 2 Ah battery with my mower, weed trimmer and leaf blower, so it's charged and discharged several times a week. It'll probably need to be replaced before the lawn mower battery.
