I registered my serial numbers of my SP mower, a fast charger, and 7.5 amp battery a few days ago.  I received the auto-email to send receipts, which I did about 2 days ago.  What's the normal turn around time to complete the registration?

Thanks!

Hi DJ, we are still working through a little bit of a backlog of registration confirmations.  We will send you a confirmation email when everything is done on our side which should be very soon.  Do you need anything other than the confirmation that we can help you with?

@Roadmaster: I think they changed their procedure since last year and the years before.  You used to only have to register your serial through the website, and when requesting warranty service you would then provide your receipt of purchase.  Now they're doing it all at the same time, likely to streamline things.  That said, what happens if you receive an EGO product as a gift?

Anyway, I'm going on a week after posting this and they've only confirmed receipt of my 7.5 amp battery.  I still haven't gotten confirmation on my SP mower and quick charger.... :/

@DJDDay- I want to thank you very much for enlightening me about this procedure. Yesterday, I mailed in the registration form, which came in the box with the lawnmower, charger and battery. There wasn't any instructions on the form, which told us to mail in the receipt. In any event, I went to the website, and decided  to register my products online. Their site requires us to register the products one at a time; in other words, once the lawn mower is registered, we have to go back and separately register  the charger, and later the battery. I just received all three e-mail confirmations. Also, I  faxed the copies of the Home Depot receipts. Again, thanks DJDDay for updating me; have a great day!

Roadmaster, actually our site does allow you to register all three items in a kit at the same time.  When you first select the tool you are registering, you are prompted to select the model number as shown on the box.  Had you chosen LM2102SP instead of LM2100SP, you would have been brought to a screen that allows you to enter the serial numbers for all three components at the same time.

Did you choose LM2102SP or LM2100SP when prompted?

Sorry if this was a little confusing.  We're working hard to find a good way to allow for kit registration online that's clear and simple to follow. Your suggestions here would be helpful if you found this process too complicated or confusing.

@DJDDay, we're looking into your registrations right now and will get you the confirmation emails as soon as we can.  We're sorry about the delay in communication here.  We're dealing with a very heavy volume of emails, faxes and mail-in registrations and have put more infrastructure in place to get caught up.

Jennifer, your online registration site did not expressly instruct us to check LM2102SP, in lieu of the other procedure. If I had known that, I would have definitely proceeded via that route. Also, as I mentioned to DJDDay, your mail in registration form,  did not specifically instruct  us to send in a copy of the receipt. In any event, I've taken care of this matter, and faxed in my receipt. Hopefully, I won't have any problems this fine product!

I faxed mine in and got the warranty approval on a Sunday and was approved on Monday. Not sure of a mail in but based on my approval probably not long.

When you fax or mail in the print registration form, do you still get a confirmation email if your email address is included?

When I completed online registration I got the following email:

(List of products with model and serial numbers here)

No matter how you registered, the receipt is required for warranty coverage. It will be much easier to scan or copy and send to Ego now for them to keep rather than trying to locate if you need a warranty repair 4 years from now!

David, are you sure they accept a copy of the receipt and not just the original?

Scanned copy is all that is required.

Yeah, scanned copy, PDF, fax, etc is fine.  I would never let my original purchase receipt go!
