How long does battery last on the 15" string trimmer?

I am trying to decide if I should get the 15" trimmer with the 2ah pack or the 4ah pack and the 15" trimmer without a battery.

I would plan to cut at the full 15" string width using .095 line.

What kind of battery life should I expect from each pack?

Ryan, I haven't exhausted a battery in my 15" trimmer yet, but I did use it on the weekend for the first cut of the year. I spent about 25-30 minutes doing pretty steady edging and trimming, then used the same 2Ah battery in the mower and got about 10 minutes of run time out of it.

Normally I would expect the 2Ah battery to last just over 20 minutes in the mower, so I would expect that the trimmer would last well beyond 30 minutes doing the type of medium duty trimming/edging I was using it for.

As for life with the 4Ah battery, I would double those expectations.

Since the kit with the battery is so affordable compared to buying batteries separately, I would recommend trying it out with the 2Ah kit first, and getting a spare 2Ah battery if necessary. The trimmer is also lighter and easier to use with the lighter battery.

Note, under heavy use a user will likely experience lower run times than what I'm reporting.
