Stop EGO from automatically setting me to follow any conversation that I reply to. Or stop EGO from deciding to clean up the conversations so my inbox get flooded with 75+ emails about a conversion that doesn't even add anything new.

I guess one way is to put all email from EGO into SPAM but I am sure that EGO would not want that. Nor would they like people getting really ticked off publicly about this terrible bad practice. What they would want is people like me today who noticed someone buying a different brand of blower, and explaining to them there is a better solution, why it is better and then showing them what they need to buy at the local HomeDepot.

Now I am wondering if I just wasted my time getting them more sales, when I should have been spending it deleting un wanted emails.

Yes you can stop the email notifications, but not the auto-follow option.  Go to your profile, select the Email & Notifications section, and unchecked the box for the ones you do not want to receive an email for.

Official Response
Matt, as mentioned in another thread, we are merging and cleaning up duplicate posts from the past. We are almost done and this barrage of emails will stop after this week. We're really sorry for the inconvenience.
