How about putting out some sales? Or repeat customers

I love the ego stuff....but so expensive. How about some sales or maybe giving existing customers incentive? I bought the 21 inch SP mower...then the high lifter blade. Finally saved enough for the power head edger and weed eater which are great too. Still want to get the blower and maybe even the snow blower for winter....but dang with these prices. Is there a way to know when ego has sales with HD?

Same thing I said on their Facebook page. Bern waiting for a sale on the new carbon fiber shaft model weed trimmer. Summer is almost over. Guess I will look elsewhere.

Monitor this board and HD site.
HD had a one day sale  a couple weeks ago and it was posted on this board the morning it happened.
You can sign up for email notification if that will help

I did. Didn't see the new model listed. It was the older one listed. I guess trying to clean out inventory. I also have it in my H.D. cart, which I look at every day. Not there yet

EGO doesn't typically announce sales ahead of time. As others have said, keep an eye on this site and also on Home Depot's site. With Labor Day coming up maybe there will be some EGO items on sale then.

How do you like it?  I came from a much smaller Ryobi model.  It was underpowered for my need a little bit, but it worked fine, very light weight.  The EGO feels like a machine compared to the small Ryobi I had!  It is almost too large (long shaft).  I'll get used to it once I learn how to balance it right and get comfortable with it.

I got the multi head as well. Very beefy compared to my old 40 volt Ryobi quick change system. Heavier for sure, but the edger made quick work of my lawn and I didn’t have to roll it back and forth.
My ego dislike is the edger blade spins the other direction making the edger want to pull you forward. That’s not the correct way any edger I have ever owned spun.

Yeah, I agree on the edger, coming from a small gas unit.  It does leave a nice clean line though along my driveway!

It seems they delete threads asking about pricing on here. Still have no explained why the multi tool hedge trimmer costs £169+£199 when you can buy the normal trimmer for less than half that.

Pricing oddities have been discussed often on this board.   Don't recall any of those discussions being deleted.

i posted a thread on here yesterday. it was gone within the hour. Im just disappointed that Ego wants £199 for the power head and 149$ in the USA. Its crazy over priced and makes me wish i went with another brand.

Well this is a North America board so discussions of UK pricing probably are not applicable.

Power head and edger kit is $129 = fantastic price !
And a pricing odditly that has been discussed here countless times.

You are certainly welcome here - my comment was just fishing for an answer.

US and Canada pricing and availability are also their own creatures and often nonsensical to us.  Production, import export, tariffs, taxes, safety regulations etc etc all play a part to make things more complicated than we would like them.
