Check out the prices on the 3 Ego products. I paid $499 for my 21" non SP mower with 5ah battery roughly a year and a half ago. $499 for the 21" SP with 7.5ah battery, such a deal. The new string trimmer price looks great too. Especially with battery and charger. I'm so tempted...

The mower is by far the best deal.  a 7.5ah battery is over 300 bucks.

The back blower pretty good deal too as it includes a $220  5.0 battery, so that makes it a $40 up charge to get the blower

Is the String Trimmer even on sale?  Does anyone know the normal price.  Does not show a regular/normal price.  My local HD is showing $229.

$229 is the same kit price since launch, as far as I know.

Yeah, it may not be on sale, but with the 2.5ah battery price at $144 just for the battery, that makes the trimmer basically $80. Or to look at it another way, the bare tool is $169 so that makes the battery and charger all of $60. Not to mention the price of chargers. Regular charger is $70 and rapid charger is $100. The tool is free, basically.

Elevated battery pricing keeps the value high when buying a kit. ;-)

You are so right. I needed a new battery for a cordless drill and I ended up buying a new drill, battery, charger, and a bag to keep it all in for less than just a new battery. So now I have 2 drills, 2 batteries (I had one good one already), 2 chargers.
Kinda crazy.
