Hedge Trimmer Cover Design

As an owner of both the Power Hedge Trimmer (HT2400) & Hedge Trimmer Attachment (HTA2000), I am very pleased with both tools.  That said; when you look at the "side x side" picture of the two trimmers, one cover is fully enclosed at the bottom, while the other is fully opened.

Why is this important?  When you look at the manual for the Power Hedge Trimmer (HT2400), it recommends that one should "always" lubricate the blade with light weight machine oil before and after each use - which I do regularly for both trimmers!

Not sure how most tool owners store their hedge trimmers - as for me, I like to hang mine up against the wall in the garage (see picture below).

From the picture above, you can see the oil drips downward on the Hedge Trimmer Attachment (HTA2000) and creates a mess on the garage floor.  While the Power Hedge Trimmer (HT2400) was "neat & clean."  So I came up with a simple and cost effective solution - taped a zip lock bag to the bottom to catch the oil (see up close picture below).

:  EGO, please make the blade cover for future hedge trimmer attachment to be similar to the Power Hedge Trimmer (HT2400), to avoid oil drips.  Love to hear from other owners how you deal with this issue ... :-)
