I currently have an electric snow blower that is about 24 lbs.  This appears to be double the weight.  How hard is this to push in snow - for a small woman?

I think it would be fine.  My wife is about 120 pounds and in her early thirties and I think she would be able to use it.  It would be a little difficult for her I'm sure but beats a shovel!!!

I'm a 190 pound man who's 5 foot 10.  With both 7.5 Ah batteries loaded, I had to put some effort into pushing my Ego snow thrower.  It wasn't hard, but you definitely have to push a little, especially on uneven sidewalks where sections may be heaving.

Agree with dj. If you push it hard it will work the snow blower alot harder. I have found that if i apply pressure, it self feeds itself a little bit. Not too much pressure needed
