Roy, I assume you have a 21" SP mower - unless you recently bought the new "steel deck" mower?  That said; I would contact Customer Service Department so they can help you diagnose the issue.

Now I understand about one of the comments made to my post. Even though EGO has done everything that needs to be done legally. I don't feel like they really listen to me. At this time I really don't think I am going to bring the mower back to Home Depot to exchange it for another one (display or not). It cuts grass and that's all that really matters to me at this time. The SP feature is nice, but I now question why I spent the extra money for it.

As I have said earlier. EGO did everything legally. It just the way it was handle. I don't want to go get a replacement new or display. The mower cuts my grass and that is what matter's to me. I understand that EGO wants the best product out there. Reason if someone comes by my house and see the s/p feature not working it may effect their decision on buying a EGO product. But the rep I worked with yesterday was good, but when the opinions he gave me didn't suit my needs and I offer a third solution. He should have worked with me and I fill he forced me into the companies decision. I do not plan on going to HD to return or pick up a replacement. So his time was wasted as was the person at HD and my time The customer is always right even when they maybe wrong. I want to thank you for taking the time to check in on me. But I think EGO would be best served by as the old saying goes; "To let this old sleeping dog lie". As long as the mower cuts my grass I am happy. I just paid a little to much for my mower, but I am happy with the product. :)   PS no need to call. Or you will listening to what is ever on the TV :)

If your car's transmission quit, but the A/C and stereo kept working, would that be OK with you, Roy?  :)

Thanks Dave I get your point. Might be okay if I had a car. LOL No really, good point but a car is not a lawn mower. :)

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled No adjustment on self propelled mower..

I recently purchased a self propelled mower but the adjustable feature on the speed isn't working. Am I doing something wrong? A simple fix? I would rather not take the mower back to Home Depot. Thanks, Greg

I had the same issue.  Mine would only be at full speed so I had to bring it back to HD for service.  They sent it back to Ego and it literally took 3 months to get it back.  Not happy

that is beyond ridiculous.   I'll be buying a replacement immediately upon taking my faulty 21SP to HD for repairs.  Then I'll return the replacement for refund, prior to the last day allowed (90 days if not using the HD charge card--1 year if using that card).  If my mower is out longer than 3 months, then I'll buy a second, temporary replacement and take that one back for refund, also.
