Thanks for the quick reply.  Model number: NST11170424824. Activity prior to problem is thick grass on full throttle.  Head is clear, and have tried calling but got put on hold for >20 minutes, and during hold, they suggest to go to the community forum website.  I have received replacement parts, but they did not solve the problem.

If the head is clean and moves freely you are at the extent of my repair knowledge.

I think you listed your serial number - maybe you can determine your model number or description here
as there are several different trimmers with different heads.

Hopefully other members will have some ideas.

Hi Cormac. Have you stripped the trimmer head right down to the motor shaft to verify everything is clear? If so and turning the motor shaft by hand (with battery removed) results in an uneven rotation and/or grinding noises, the problem is not user serviceable. In this case you’ll need to contact Ego Customer Service for warranty repair.

If the motor shaft spins freely and smoothly without the trimmer head installed, replacement of the trimmer head may cure the issue.
