Gotta brag on this Ego 21" LM2101 Mower!

Man - my centipede grass (NFL) looks like velvet.    Daughter says it looks like a golf green.

Sure, we've had a lot of rain with tropical storm Cindy that came near us - but my grass has NEVER EVER looked this good with any of the yard services I've used over the last 12 years and there have been a lot of tropical storms in years past!

It's so easy to snap in the battery, start the machine and go.   This is about my 6-7th mowing and the grass looks better every time.

Thanks so much to all the super champions and other helpful gentlemen for helping me get started, learn how to remove blade to sharpen and how to sharpen it.

What a great group of people!

I think this is the best my centipede lawn has looks in many many years. The daily rain instead of drought corrected things nicely. I'm sure you benefited from all of the rain. The Whole southeast looks like a rainforest.

SCDC, It's the cut...its so precision sharp and even.... looks so velvety.   Especially the first couple of days after the mowing.

PS - All that being said - IF the grass is long and beginning to seed when I cut, sometimes I have to go over patches of clippings to get them fine enough not to show on the surface.

However, it's not horrible or clumpy, because I only mow when it's dry.

Treating the underside of the mower and blade with the waterproof silicone spray and sharpening the blade a bit before ever using the mower may be why my cut is so pretty.

Like some of you have said, I'd like the option of a deluxe double-mulching blade, even if it costs a bit more and uses more battery power.

My yard is small and I only use about half of the battery each mowing anyway.

Face it, this is not a large yard set up.  One would need a couple of batteries to do an acre or more.

I think the Ego is more for retired folks with patio homes who still love to dig and get dirty.

I'm a big fan of the mower and the community.

Signed - Mowing Marvel Super-Sibyl!!!
