Ordered my 15 inch string trimmer (Battery and charger)  and the ego blower (blower only) from HD online on March 26th.  They both arrived on April 2nd.   Rained for 2 days.  Bummer

Assembly to like 5 minutes for trimmer.  Think it was total of 8 screws.   4 requiring the supplied allen wrench.  4 needed Phillips head screwdriver.

Blower just needs the tube twisted into place.

Trimmer itself is lighter than my old gas unit and I don't get the tingling in my fingers when finished like I did with gas unit.  Make sure you remove the tape protecting the string cutter.  Almost missed it myself.   Not that it matters much the blade isn't very sharp.  Need to go get me a file to take care of that problem.  Best of all no fumes.

Do need to make a final handle adjustment to the trimmer.  Seems handle placement standing indoors on carpet doesn't compare to actual use in the yard.

The blow is very loud either.  Not sure I like the slow start up but I guess I will get used to it.  Its about the same weight as electric but no cord to drag around.

Managed to trim and edge around my house and sidewalk with more than enough power left for blower to clean up the mess.

Official Response
Doug, as Blue Angel said, thanks for sharing your impressions and we appreciate your feedback.  The slow start up on the blower is intentional to protect the motor.  Imagine starting your car in 5th gear, you'd destroy the motor pretty quickly.  We took the same approach with the blower. Keep us posted as you use your tools.  We'd love to see pictures and videos too! Thanks again.
