Ken, I have the 7 5 Ah 21" SP; it's NOT brushless and the listing for the dual 5.0 Ah 21" SP did NOT say brushless either.

On the ego website it does say brushless—I found where I had read it. Pretty good deals on single 7.5 battery not sure I need the two batteries for small yard. However newer tech motor may be worth it.

Ego and others are switching to brushless.. haven't kept up with the latest   but I'm sure they will have the words BRUSHLES o n the mower and all the literature.. unless they just follow the auto industry and call it a 'GT"  Regards

I am pretty sure there is a brushless version of the single, I have lost track of whether it is the steel deck or the poly though.

The dual battery mower is brushless, with higher power than any of their other mowers. Steel decks are all brushless as well. Single battery poly decks should all be brushed.
