Ego all the way! Nice! And the 20" steel deck is even better!

But isn't the steel deck $650 at this point? It better be nice for that.

Great review, but Ryobi isn't even in the same league.

Don't tell that to most of the people who work at the home Depot outdoor power equipment department.

Great review. Only thing I would question is the charging times. Looks like you used the Ego quick charger. Does Ryobi offer a quick charger? Is that what was used in the video, if so? If not, maybe a comparison against the Ego standard charger would be more fair. However, that is a fairly minimal nit to pick as I think the Ego is far and away a better machine in all aspects.

The chargers I used are what comes with the mowers.  Does Ryobi even sell a quick charger?

It wouldn't make a difference. Even Ego's standard charger will charge the 5Ah battery in a fraction of the time it took that Ryobi to charge!

Probably not, and it's nice Ego includes the quick charger.

The Greenworks 80V push mower is your next challenger.  Also, Greenworks has just come out with an 80V self-propelled mower.

Next spring I'm going to do a mower bonanza - over 8 cordless mowers

Great review, Andrew! Nice to see some details pointed out as well, like the Ryobi's sharp storage "feet" and Ego's ball bearing wheels.

I suspect the Ryobi battery would take even longer to charge if you started charging it warm right out of the mower. ;-)

I couldn't imagine that charging a Ryobi battery could be worse than 4 hours - But I guess it's possible.  This seems to be a case of you get what you pay for.
