Ego Trimmer left in heavy rain for DAYS.

I left my Ego trimmer out in yard prior to about a week's worth of heavy rain. :(  I mean, it was raining consistently enough for about 5 days that all rivers and streams were well out of their banks and many in our area had flooded basements.  Only at the end of all that did I realize it was sitting in the backyard, unprotected.  Based on where it was, there shouldn't have been water "pooling" under it, etc., and when I picked it up and was taking the battery off, the green light came on.  I wiped down the trimmer and battery separately, and are storing both upright in a dry place so that any remaining water can drain....any other suggestions?  I'm not expecting much, but I figure there's still a CHANCE!

I’d let it dry out for a day or two, you should be ok. :-)

Put your battery in an bed plastic storage box with a desiccant pack...it will help make sure your battery pack is dry...:)

Did it work? From what I've read, the batteries should have been fine since the electronics are sealed. Tear-downs of the trimmer also show key electronics to be sealed. From that, I'm inclined to say it should work fine, unless things rusted. Everyone: What's the motor made out of?
