Last year I decided to fire the landscaper after 21 years of service to take over lawncare on my own (cost of 2 kids in college may have influenced this).   Did not want to deal with gas and started researching options.  Ego seemed to have best reviews and I took the plunge.  I bought the following Ego products:

Snow blower with 2 batteries - 5 Ah (first purchase)
Backpack Blower bare tool
21" Powered lawnmower bare tool
Power Head bare tool
Trimmer head
Pole Saw head

I have reviewed the Snow blower before (positively) so I will skip that here.

Pole saw I have used once and only a few limbs, it did the job.  Was easy to use and set up.  My only complaint it having to empty the chain oil after a use.  I know this is not a Ego thing, I understand chainsaws weep a little.  Just a pet peeve.

Trimmer is fantastic, took a few uses to get the hang of it (how high to hold off ground, from fence, etc..) but these are all rookie moves.  It is power-full and again easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Lawn Mower is fantastic! I am 5 mows in and mulched 3, bagged 2.  I am now convinced the High lift blade is needed if you are going to bag, I am ordering it tonight.  without the blade when you disconnect the bag there is still a lot of clippings in the chute.  My other rookie mistake is dont try to mow a row the same size as the deck, you will wind up with un-mowed strips, I now mow 3/4 of deck each pass.  Also cleaning of the underdeck gets harder if you let it sit.  Wish I read the posts with cleaning suggestions before my first use.  Best suggestion was spray the underdeck with WD-40 before mowing, makes cleaning easier and less grass accumulation.

The backpack blower is another great tool.  Again, as a rookie I had to learn a lot.  My first mistake was crushing the turbo button.  I soon learned turbo is not always better.  Clearing a patio or walkways was much easier at lower speeds and prevented debris from flying into beds and lawn.

To sum up, I for one am glad to have made the move to the Ego line of products and look forward to new releases, some I would like to see are:

Paint/Stain sprayer
shop vac
Air pump
LED work light

Great work Ego, love your products
