And why doesn't Ego's customer service know about it?

It's in stock at Zoro's parent website, but shipping makes it an unattractive deal: http://www.grainger.com/product/48VX97?gclid=CjwKEAjw6sC5BRCogcaY_dKZ2nESJABsZihxH6ZfKFaC09h5fGg2Nli...

Google "Ego AP1500". After Grainger and Zoro all of the results are sites in the Netherlands and Sweeden. Must be a European part that Grainger is selling in the US.

How about the BC1500E trimmer and the mowers with the metal decks!

Oh, hey, and look --- alternative blades for the mowers, including "high lift."

Nice find, David.

Anyone know someone in the import/export business? Someone could make a killing selling blades and shoulder straps in the US on eBay!

Hey... why not Ego?

Ken, thanks for posting a link to the official EGO strap.  This is something we are trying to get into The Home Depot as well.  We appreciate you finding this on Zoro's website and we're sorry for the erroneous answer we previously posted.

How does the strap attach to the trimmer pole?  Also, do you have a pdf manual for the strap?
Thanks

Dennis, it looks to me like the adapter on the end of the strap comes apart "clamshell" style and wraps around the trimmer shaft.

Maybe if someone has ordered it they can post a better picture?

Blue is correct.  The adapter on the end of the strap is the clip to the string trimmer.  If you remove that clamshell clip, you can use the strap for the blower. There is no manual for the strap.

So where can we order? I tried a generic one. It didn't work.

Lori, these are available on-line from HD:

Hint: As Jennifer points out above, the string trimmer strap is the same as the blower strap but also includes the attachment for the trimmer shaft.  One strap for two tools. :-)

If Home Depot won't carry it maybe it's something you can make available through Amazon.com since they're carrying some of your products now.

Or even an eBay store.

Lots of manufacturers sell parts, accessories, and manufacturer-refurbished units direct to customers through an official eBay store.

Thank You Jennifer, it appears that this is only available thru Grainger USA, it does appear for Grainger Canada. Do you have any options for us in Canada to get this strap?

Our apologies for the delay, David! The strap will be arriving in Canada this summer. We don't have an exact date yet, but we'll post as soon as more info becomes available.
