Chain saw stopped working on Jan 7th. Took it to home depot for repair as instructed. Home depot could not fix it so they sent it out to a repair shop. Repair shop confirmed motor was broken and would be fixed under warranty. Then Silence. Called home depot on 10th Feb they phoned the repair shop and were told Ego would not send the motor it was back ordered. Phoned Ego on Sunday 11th Feb told by Ego that part was dispatched and they would update me Monday 12th Feb nothing happened. Phoned Ego Tuesday told me the repair shop was trying to ring me but not sure why. They would dig into BUT  no reply. Phoned Ego Thursday 15th Feb no  reason why the saw was not returned and they would call the repair shop tomorrow and ring me back Friday 16th no call from EGO so I ring again. The girl who was supposed to get back to  me Friday was on vacation today but someone would call me tomorrow to update me .  I asked for a replacement but that would need to be escalated and they would call me tomorrow (not holding out much hope of anything). The warranty has 2 years left but at this rate I dont' think I will get it back on time to cover it

There is always the do it your self HD loaner program.  (i.e. buy a replacement tool and return it within the 90 days allowed by HD)

ok, it is also a solution to your problem.  Do what you want with the information.

Determining it an unacceptable solution is certainly one of the options.
