Is the CEO of this company just plain stupid or greedy. It won't be long before a company matches the design of this mower and your sales will end. The prices of batteries are way out of normal pricing, 389.00 for a battery, you can buy a nice Honda gas mower for that price. Nuts. Taking this product back to Home Depot tomorrow.

I have Makita 18v (AWESOME stuff), Milwaukee M12 (extremely impressive for it's size, and great selection of tools), and now just bought into Ridgid 18v as well... I couldn't resist the allure of their new cordless air compressor!  It was on clearance already, as was the cordless mini shop vac, a two tool/battery drill/saw combo, and a bunch of their lighting products.

Hook, line and sinker... :-)

Based on the last picture I saw of your garage, how in the heck do you have room for more tools BA?

There's ALWAYS room for more tools, until there's not, and then you build a bigger house!  Hey, I need more tools just to build the house so I can have a place to put them!

Speaking of greed. The US to Canada price difference for the Ego Blower model LB5300 is 70% more in Canada, whereas the difference in the US to Canada exchange rate is only 25%. It is very unfair for Ego and Home Depot to charge 70% more in Canada when the exchange rate difference is only 25%. Please be more fair to your Canadian customers.

I haven't yet bought another battery. I wanted more run time without having to wait an hour for the battery to recharge. I explored the options and $430 is the least expensive I found in my search. The reason I didn't get it is bc I found it to be too expensive.

I've seen the 7.5 go for $389 at Home Depot in the US, but its price has gone up since then.  Also, the backpack blower with the 7.5 was originally $399, then it went up to $414.40, then $426.83 (I bought it at that price and was grinding my teeth as I did so), then it went up to $439 and then some number of cents that I do not remember, and now it is at $466.40.  If I had the choice to buy it again at the current price, I wouldn't do it.  At least the 5Ah kit's price has gone down, I would now without a second thought take that over the 7.5. Also, the 7.5 is a bit heavy.  I am a relatively small guy, 5'6", a little over 50kg, and I prefer the 5Ah.  Also, I like the Greenworks backpack blower better, even though it doesn't blow nearly the CFM that the EGO does, it has a better feel to it.
