EGO 56V 21" Self-propelled mower with the 7.5Ah battery: Early Issues

I purchased the EGO 56V 21" Self-propelled mower with the 7.5Ah battery nearly 1 month ago. It worked well on deck level 2. I was able to cut just under 7000 sqft of lawn on one charge. This month, not only can I not finish the same amount before my battery dies, I cannot even finish with the 2.5Ah battery after.  To make matters worse, my mower also no longer shoots all the mowed grass into the grass catcher bag.  It regurgitates much of it back on to my lawn.  Does anyone else have this problem?

Just a couple of questions.  Is the underside and blade clean?  Is the blade the original blade and is it sharp?  Have you tried to contact Customer Service?

Yes to all questions. CS made a lot of recommendations before suggesting I exchange it, which I did.

One thing for sure you have to keep the blade sharp. Today I noticed for the first time the long clippings left behind and the only difference I can tell is I let my blade go dull. I am use to having gas mower blades and they seem to stay sharp a lot longer. To save weight/power EGO uses a thinner blade and the quality of the steal is somewhat questionable. One guy posted a picture taken with a high tech camera of the cutting edge of the blade. He mentioned the metal was a bit soft hence the fast wear out and the blade going dull sooner then we might like.
Not knocking EGO at all I love the products and I recommend them to everyone, no machine is ever perfect.
