You haven't given us nearly enough information for anyone to help you.

Which battery? They have different capacities: 2, 2.5, 4, 5 and 7.5 Ah.

What tool were you using it with? Is this a recent purchase?

It's a 2.0 lithium used on a Ego 14" chainsaw, purchased at Home Depot Sept.11, 2017. Battery runs great for a few minutes, the dies. The date of manufacture is January 2017. I have used it a total of no more than 90 minutes.

You probably have the standard charger.  When you put the 2.0 AH battery on the charger, what lights does it display?  How long does it charge for?  It could take between 20-30 minutes to charge, anything shorter than than, and you likely have a battery and/or charger issue.
