in patchy areas (thin and thick grass) my mower takes about 10-15 feet 4-8 seconds, of bogging down to apply added rpm and power to the motor to cut the grass that is on the thicker side but once im out of the thick stuff its only a couple feet and it will reduce power.

is this programming normal for the 21" self propelled mower? if it is is there a way to over ride this problem?

its kind hard to show off your product when someone sees it bog down and not cut grass like a gas mower then you have to make excuses saying give it a second and it will spin faster, they say my gas one dont take a second to spin faster so i dont want this thing.

What you're experiencing is totally normal, Steven.  The second or two delay is a safety mechanism to prevent putting a ton of strain on the motor at the first moment of operation.
