I bought the mower from individual liquidation sale for $300. Obviously there was no receipt provided. The mower looked pretty new. Worked well for couple of times. Now has some issues. Does this sale covered under warranty. I was told it was a Home Depot returned item and was sold in liquidation

I'm gonna guess probably not. You should give them a call though and ask, can't hurt!

You might also let us know what the "issues" are. Someone here might be able to help you troubleshoot.

Motor switches off automatically on grass. It works on the pathway

What does it do when it turns off? An orange light means overload, red light means dead battery. Those are the most common reasons for shutoff.

No orange or red. It is on green. I tried it now. It won't even start

Some mowers have had issues with the clips that hold the handle fully extended. If those are loose then the safety sensor that shuts off power when not fully extended could be tripping.

The clips are tight and locked. The battery is full too. Any other troubleshooting technique for now
I suggest you not pay $300 and go ahead and pay $399 for a brand new one from Home Depot with the full 5 years of guaranteed service.  That extra $99 for 5 years of supported use seems cheap, compared to $300 for only a couple times use.  That's $150 per mow, versus around $2.66 per mow.  Good luck.

Hello Kavitha, thank you for your post. Unfortunately, as some of our members have already weighed in, our 5 year warranty (3 year on batteries and chargers) is only valid if purchased at one of our EGO authorized retailers, which you can find here: http://egopowerplus.com/pages/warranty-policy. We suggest that you contact the retailer/individual liquidation site you purchased your mower with and let them know your troubles after your recent purchase to see if they can help you with refunds/exchanges. Unfortunately, we have know way of knowing if these retailers will honor such refund requests, but it never hurts to ask. We wish you luck!
