Does the battery need to cool down before it will begin charging?

Will the battery begin charging immediately after being fully depleted on the lawn mower?  I have experience with an Echo 58 Volt mower and Greenworks 40 volt g-max mower.  On both of those products, the battery needs to cool down for about 1/2 and hour before it will begin charging.  With the Ego I was hoping that wouldn't be necessary so that with an additional 4ah battery, I could have continuous power.

Official Response
Paul, thanks for your question and we're sorry for the delay in our response. EGO POWER+ batteries do not need to cool down before you place them on the charger. Our keep-cool technology protects the batteries and speeds the cooling. With a very warm battery, cooling and charging could take an additional 7-9 minutes. You will have continuous power with two batteries!
