Does Ego or another manufacturer make a flat tapered extension that will fit the Ego leaf blower? Thank you for any help.

Does Ego make a tapered extension for the leaf blower? If not do you know of any made by another manufacturer that would fit the Ego blower? Thank you for any help.

The comments on CFM vs AirSpeed is quite and interesting one.  I am a woodworker and so I have to deal with dust collection in a major way.  A shopvac can move air at a very high speed but it really does not move a large volume of air.  If you have ever used a shop vac to clear a floor you will know that you have to get the nozzle within an inch of the debris before it will be sucked in.  Though there is quite a bit of speed to the vacuum air, as soon as you get far away from the nozzle, there is little to no air movement.  Were as a high CFM that has rather a low AirSpeed, as there it a large amount of actual air being sucked in, you can actually feel the air movement from even a foot away from the input pipe. You do need to use a much larger pipe to accommodate that amount of air, but the dust particles will hold their velocity and move through the vacuum system.

The same holds true for a blower.  I think that anyone who has used a high-speed low cfm blower can attest that it is great at moving something when the nozzle end is directly in front of what you are blowing but looses efficiency very quickly the farther away you get.  This might be fine for grass clipping on a paved driveway where you can wand back and forth as you walk down, but if you were trying to do the same thing on say a gravel drive where there is not a smooth surface then you would find it rather ineffective.

If you tried to put a flattened nozzle onto the high CFM tube of the EGO then you will slightly concentrate the air and give a small raise to the AirSpeed but will take a dramatic hit to the CFM of the unit.  A turbine blower is designed to move a large amount of air but has very little strength to compress the air and increase its airspeed.  A centrifugal blower is the opposite in it can compress air very easily but doesn't do much actual air movement.  Don't think that adding a restrictive front to your EGO will make it perform like a differently designed corded blower.

Just buy another tube and taper it yourself using heat and a spinning pottery table.

"Just do what?"  How many GO owners do you think have a "spinning pottery wheel?  Or experience using that wheel and heat to taper a hard plastic tube?

That's just one way to do it. You could even manufacture an attachment for a drill. There are many ways to taper a tube. That's my point.
