Do I Need to Call Support if I Opened a Support Case Online?

Over the weekend the 2.5AH battery included with my 15" string trimmer (which is only one week old) began constantly blinking green. Research shows this is indicative of a defective battery. As it was late on Saturday, I used the online case open tool. Do I still need to call the support line (which I understand is very over-burdened) or is opening the case online sufficient? I'd certainly like to not add to the support line's load.

I would give them a couple business days to get back to you. If you don't hear anything in that time I'd give them a call. Be sure to have your case number handy so you can let them know to close the case.
